About Sumatran Lintong Single Origin Coffee

Lintong is a Sumatran coffee less well-known than Mandheling and Gayo. It takes its name from its home district of Lintongnihuta. where it is grown in the hills surrounding Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world and processed using a unique wet hulling method, this coffee results in a surprisingly intense cup.

Sumatran Lintong Single Origin coffee is full-bodied and exploding with earthy fruitiness, and bright acidity delivering a richness that lingers on the back of the palate.

Sumatran coffee's unique characteristics stem from wet hulling. This modified natural processing method and an extended drying time produce coffees with muted flavours and aromas. Sumatran coffees are typically characterised by their full bodies and low acidity.
